Hardcore & Pain[t]
Eigentlich sollte der Titel des Postings Hardcore Weekend lauten, aber Big M. hatte gestern auf der Rückfahrt vom Sucks'n Summer einen besseren Vorschlag gehabt. Aber der Reihe nach:
Das Sucks'n Summer ist ein reines Hardcore Open Air Festival in Leisnig, so ziemlich mittig zwischen Dresden und Leipzig. Auf eine Fläche eines Fußballfeldes stand eine kleine Bühne und einige kleinere und größere Zelte und Grillstände, es war alles wirklich sehr überschaubar und wirkte fast schon familiär. Bei etwa 2.000 Besuchern ist dies aber nicht verwunderlich. Auch die Kulisse hatte Einiges zu bieten, wenn man in Richtung Bühne blickte, konnte man die Burg Mildenstein auf der anderen Seite des Muldentals sehen.
Für ein solch kleines Festival hatten erstaunlicherweise viele gute Bands den Weg auf die running list gefunden. Als ein Highlight muss ich hier Madball nennen, die haben einfach überzeugt. Auch Maroon und Evergreen Terrace waren richtig gut, mein persönlicher Favorit war aber erwartungsgemäß Heaven Shall Burn. Und meinem Alter angemessen, habe ich mich nach vorn in den Moshpit gestürzt. Ein paar Circle Pits, etwas Crowd Surfing und die sagenumwobene Wall of Death. Diese hat mir dann aber auch das Genick gebrochen, da eine Handvoll stürzten, wobei ich so ziemlich ganz unten lag. der Untergrund war sehr rauh und steinig, aber bis auf ein paar Kratzer an der Schulter und blauen Flecken ist nicht viel passiert. Mr. M II hat sich dabei schon etwas mehr ausgezahlt und sich schön das Knie aufgeschlagen. Trotzdem war es auch für mich eine recht verlustreiche Angelegenheit, da ich im Gewühl meine Festival Kamera verloren habe. Um die Kamera tut es mir dabei nicht leid, da sie schon sehr alt war, aber der Verlust der Bilder ist schon schmerzlich. So kann ich hier auch kein Bild anhängen, dafür gibt es jetzt noch ein paar Youtube-Schnipsel von Bands des 8. Sucks'n Summer.

Obwohl sich die Band nach der Straße benannt hat, in denen die Simpsons wohnen, ist ihre Musik alles andere als ein Kindergeburtstag.
Aufmerksame Leser ist nun sicherlich klar, warum dieser Beitrag Hardcore & Pain heißt. Aber was soll das Paint bedeuten? Ganz einfach, heute geht's noch zum Paintball...
